‘Tuning’ The Self of The Therapist & Integrative Psychotherapy

Melody Hill Lodge, 11th -13th August 2017

Accredited 18 CEU hours: 13 General & 5 Ethical CEU

Join us for a stimulating weekend that will rejuvenate your body, inspire your clinical practice and nurture your soul.

The work of a psychotherapist requires self-awareness, presence, responsiveness and attunement to both, inward and outward inputs. ‘Tuning’ the instrument – the self of the therapist – evolves through utilization of somatic experiences and mindfulness to generate finely tuned inner space.

This weekend experiential training and retreat incorporates Eastern tradition with Western psychological concepts promoting creative professional and personal integration of somatic, emotional, mental, and spiritual aspects of self.

One key value of integrative psychotherapy is its individualized approach, allowing the therapist to tailor their knowledge and approach. Within this framework, integration is a process, to which therapists also need to commit themselves. Thus, workshop process focuses on personal/ professional integration and growth in the therapist. During this retreat you will also have an opportunity to dialogue with colleagues of diverse orientations, experience and learn about a holistic approach, discuss therapeutic applications of breath, mindfulness and exceptional human experiences as well as reflect on ethical and cross-cultural aspects of integrative practice.
